Tattoos — especially those depicting Chinese characters — have become a spot light in Asia during the 2014 World Cup. 

 

For Greek player Theofanis Gekas who played in the 2014 World Cup Greece vs Japan match, his Chinese calligraphy tattoo was seen by millions of Japanese soccer fans who reading it.

 

They  were watching the Chinese tattoo on the right inner arm of Greece's Theofanis Gekas. The Chinese calligraphy tattoo means "寒冷殺人魔" (han lun sha ren mo) , which can be literally translates as "cold (weather) murder demon." The problem is that, the first two characters (寒冷)  the Chinese  used here for "cold" (寒冷) refers totemperature sense,, ” not in a heartless, cold blood. The five Chinese characters "寒冷殺人魔" combined together In Chinese language is gibberish and doesn't make  a sentence.

 

Theofanis  Gekas, after the match, explained that why he  tattooed these five Chinese characters on his arm, it means "Cold Killer", he said.

Apprantely ,Theofanis Gekas' tattoo artist misused the google translation.
